Love is a dance

And not the dirty fun kind either...

Have you ever noticed that when you're in a relationship the second you step forward the other person steps back? And when the other person steps forward, you step back. It's a waltz of love that torments the heart but yet hardly avoidable.

The dance was created by the infamous notion... "you want what you can't have". It's all about the challenge. In the beginning of a relationship, and unfortunately throughout a large portion of it, giving and taking never seems to be on an even keel. One person gives more and the other person relaxes, that person stops giving and the other steps forward wondering what happened.

Some see the dance as fun, the only thing that keeps them intrigued, and others see the dance as a game played/danced by inexperienced lovers.

However you see it, don't get too caught up in the dance, or you and your significant will never be at the same step at the same time.

  2. That the thing about the dance of love, for the first couple of years you have a lot of stepping on each others toes, stepping wrong, and trying to learn each others steps. But when you and your partner learn how all the steps go and to step together the dance of love can be beautiful. I have been with my husband for 12 years and our dance has been hard at times and great at times, but today we dance with ease.

  3. Thank you both for commenting! Mandyapple congrats on your 12 years, it's a beautiful thing when couples learn to dance with ease!
