You don't need validation.

Bring it back to Affirmations with Stuart Smalley... "I'm Good Enough, I'm Smart Enough, and Doggone It, People Like Me!"

Why do we find ourselves checking our phones constantly to see if he called? Why do we buy new outfits when he actually does call to ask us out? Why do we feel rejected when he moves on? This may be considered normal to some of us; "don't all girls wait by the phone?" "Isn't it supposed to be a good thing when we look good for a guy?" You're right, it is normal. But it shouldn't be (spoken with emphasis(!))

Introduce yourself to a new way of thinking. If that phone doesn't ring what happens to you? Do you become any less important or special? Does your world end? No. No it doesn't, so let's stop acting like it does. Girls, you don't need any man in the world to make you feel validated. I am the first to agree that it's exciting when a guy pays interest, but it should be a perk, not a need.

Look at the shirt you're wearing. What color is it? Are you sure?
If your shirt is red and someone comes along and tells you it's black will you believe them? No, because you're sure of your shirt and you're sure of what you see. Feel this way about your character.

Name 3 wonderful things about yourself. What are they? Are you sure?
You don't need validation from anyone but yourself. It's the one thing you have control over.
